Kansas may be the shortest section of Route 66 in any state but it still has many things to see and visit. Fans of the Disney and Pixar movie “Cars” will certainly recognise one of the sites in this part of the trip. It is in the town of Galena that Producers of the film got the inspiration for the loveable character of Tow Mater. The pick up truck still stands there today.
Also be sure to stop by the Eisler Brothers Old Riverton Store. One of the oldest stores still in existence along the route. There is also the Brush Creek Rainbow Bridge. It was on this bridge that the Country Singer Brad Paisley performed the famous Route 66 song in 2000.
